This installation at Manchester Museum in Autumn 2025 celebrated Nepali Day by putting Nepali and British artists in dialogue. Bikas Rauniar, Nepali photojournalist revealed everyday stories with clarity and intimacy, Francis Prior and Michael Pollard captured minute details of insects and Neil Spencer Bruce layered visual worlds with sound.
Same… and Different is about noticing: the small details in nature, the stories embedded in community and the resonances between cultures.
By immersing audiences in these layered perspectives of insects and their habitats, the work opens space for reflection on how difference is not a barrier but a way of seeing what we share.
