Giant Insect World combines the science of insects with artistic and creative expression.
We invite poets, writers, artists, musicians, illustrators, philosophers, anthropologists and scientists to share their creative work on the theme of insects x their practice.

Our existing collaborations include
- Diana Arzuza buelvas – Curator of entomology at Manchester Museum
- Francis Prior whose macrophotography of insects adds so much life and colour to the project
- Dmitri Logunov whose beautiful photos of butterflies inspired the project
- Marian Hill, artist and educator who also runs our Education programme,
- Amber Margarita, artist and beekeeper who runs Bee Corner at Islington Mill, Salford
- Jenna Lawson, artist and scientist who makes acoustic fingerprints of nature
- Neil Spencer Bruce, sound artist making soundscapes of nature and insects
- Adrian Tchaikovsky, leading science fiction writer and author of the bestselling Children of Time series featuring giant intelligent spiders in a terraformed world

We also run community workshops encouraging people to produce anatomically accurate insects in a creative style of their choosing.
